Dump Protesters Picket Councillors Site Tour FifeWest Action Group
Press Release 14th June 2002 Around a dozen protesters, who had yesterday symbolically dumped rubbish outside Fife Councils HQ in Glenrothes attempted to speak to the councillors as they arrived, with limited success. Jane Ann Liston, councillor for St Andrews South East spent twenty minutes sharing the shelter of a horse-box with the demonstrators. Only then did she realise who the demonstrators were and what they were there for, and made her apologies, adding that she could not comment on the issue or she would risk being barred from the Council vote.
